TOWN OF LOCKPORT — Niagara County Sheriff's deputies responded Friday morning to a Murphy Road address Friday morning, where a man told them that sometime overnight someone stole several items from a storage shed.
The man said that between 9:30 p.m. Thursday and 7:30 a.m. Friday, someone entered his truck and removed the keys from the center console, then used those keys to open the storage shed. The suspect proceeded to remove a backpack blower, a weed whacker, and a hedge trimmer from the shed. The items were valued at $1,200.
The man told NCSO that he believed a former employee of his was behind the theft because that person knew where he kept his keys in his truck.
The case will be followed up by the Criminal Investigation Bureau.
