Marian S. Winger Of Wilson, NY, wife of the late Lt. Edward Winger entered into rest Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Northgate Manor, North Tonawanda, NY.
She was born in Wilson, NY September 14, 1918, the daughter of the late Clayton and Rosella Champion Stockwell. Marian’s husband Lt. Edward Winger died June 1950. She worked as an Accountant for Great Lakes Carbon Corp. in Niagara Falls, NY for 30 years, 0 retiring in 1983. Marian has lived in Wilson most of her life. Member of St. Brendan on the Lake, Wilson Site. She also traveled all 50 states and almost every Country in Europe. Marian also went on many Cruise Ships. Member of the St. Brendan on the Lake senior group, Colonial Dames of the 17th Century and The Daughters of the American Revolution.
Mother of the late Michael Winger and Patricia Winger. Sister of the late Beatrice Hicks, Kenneth Stockwell, Martha Harvey, Mildred Shoultz and Margarite Langdon. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
No prior visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 10:30 AM in St. Brendan on the Lake (Wilson Site) Lake St. and Mechanic St. Wilson, NY. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Wilson, NY at the convenience of the family. Memorials to Education Park at Stella Niagara 4421 Lower River Road Stella Niagara, NY 14144 or Niagara Hospice 4675 Sunset Drive Lockport, NY 14094 would be appreciated by the family.
