TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A Tonawanda Creek Road man told Niagara County Sheriff's deputies that while he was shopping at Tops on South Transit Road, someone purposely scratched his vehicle.

The man told patrol early Monday morning that his fiancee was waiting for him in the car as witnessed a juvenile male scratch the driver's side door around 10 p.m. Rather than confront the accused at Tops, they waited until they go to the man's Tonawanda Creek Road home and called patrol from there with the license plate of the vehicle involved.

Patrol located the vehicle at the registered owner's address on High Street and spoke to the vehicle's owner and passengers but all denied any involvement with complainant's vehicle. Additionally, the owner of the vehicle told patrol that while there was a juvenile female in his car, there was no juvenile male.

In the end, no charges were filed.
