Neighbors watch as LFD fights a fire on Hoover Parkway.
Lockport Fire Department responded this afternoon to a fire at a home on Hoover Parkway.

The department fought the blaze with Lockport Police and South Lockport Fire Co. on hand for backup and crowd control in the residential neighborhood.

The blaze was first reported around 5 p.m. The department had it under control before 6 p.m., but not before the garage was a total loss and there was significant damage to the home.

Neighbors speculated the cause and source of the fire, but no cause was immediately released by LFD.

At least one person was injured and transported to the hospital.

Further details are not available at this time.

The garage on the Hoover Parkway home was completely destroyed by the fire.
