Two women reported in separate instances Monday that a suspicious man in a black minivan had approached them in the parking lot of Walmart, 5783 S. Transit Road.

According to the report filed by the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, the first instance happened around 3:20 p.m. when a woman reports that she was walking through the store's parking lot when she was approached by a white male with black hair and a partial beard driving a newer Honda minivan.

The male asked the woman if she knew where Wegmans was, which she answered. He then asked if she would get in his car and show him where it was, which she refused, telling him to instead look it up on the iPhone he was holding.

The second incident happened at approximately 3:28 p.m. when a woman told patrol a male matching the same physical description and driving a car with the same description approached her and asked her where Wegmans was, which she answered. He then asked her if she was married, which she also answered. The man then asked if she would perform a sex act for $100, which she declined.

The second woman said that in addition to the characteristics described by the earlier woman, the man's hair was curly and he had a large nose. She also said the man's vehicle had a scrape down the driver's side and that the entire time he was talking to her, he was holding an iPad in front of him.

Patrol attempted to meet with Walmart security to check security footage in order to obtain further information on the vehicle. Walmart security was unavailable at the time, but patrol will try again in an attempt to obtain further vehicle information.
