Niagara County Sheriff's deputies responded to two fights in the Woodlands within a 21-hour period, both involving teenagers.

The first fight was reported Sunday night around 9:30 p.m. In that incident, a 17-year-old female from the city of Lockport had reported that a 17-year-old female from Gardenwood Drive assaulted her after the two had exchanged words over the content of recent posts made on Facebook.

Patrol advised both parties involved that no further contact should be made between the two, but no charged were filed against either.

The second incident involved three teenage girls — the 17-year-old Gardenwood Drive resident who was also involved in Sunday's fracas, another 17-year-old Gardenwood Drive resident, and a 17-year-old Nicholas Street girl; a 20-year-old male from Gardenwood Drive, a 36-year-old female from Birchwood Drive, a 50-year-old male from Elmwood Drive in Medina, and another male whose age and address were not reported.

According to the incident report, the fight occurred around 6 p.m. Monday in the area of the playground on Birchwood Drive.

The 20-year-old male was transported to Eastern Niagara Hospital-Lockport Hospital by Rapids Ambulance for head pain along with two of the teenage girls.

"Patrol's investigation revealed that no neutral witness was able to be interviewed and it was unclear to patrol who started the fight," the report said.

All parties admitted that this has been an ongoing issue for a few weeks. Patrol advised all parties to stay away from each other.

The case will be closed pending future evidence.
