ENP STAFF REPORTS
news@eastniagarapost.com
TOWN OF LOCKPORT — Less than a week after someone threw a brick through the window at the Kalamata Restaurant on South Transit Road, three teens are accused of trashing the Greek restaurant's bathroom.
According to a report filed with the Niagara County Sheriff's Office Tuesday evening, three black males entered the restaurant and went into the bathroom around 5:45 p.m. A few minutes later they came out of the restroom and left the restaurant.
A restaurant employee checked the bathroom because she said the males seemed suspicious. She found that the bathroom was trashed. There was a large amount of paper towels in the sink and the water was running. The sink was overflowing with water and flooding the bathroom floor and flowing into the dining room. The garbage was tipped over and the garbage was spread all over the floor, a picture was knocked off the wall, and the air fresher housing was ripped off the wall and broken.
Having been given descriptions of the males, patrol located the males in Sally's Beauty Supplies. Patrol retained one juvenile without incident. The other two males ran out of the store. Patrol drove around behind Office Max, where they observed two males matching the description given. The second juvenile was then detained without incident, but the third male ran into the woods, where he was later located.
Patrol brought the three males back to the restaurant, where store employees identified them.
Two of the males were charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and released to a family member. The third was taken into custody. The names of the accused were not released by NCSO.
