TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A Sunset Drive man told Niagara County Sheriff's deputies that someone used his Cornerstone debit card to make an online purchase.

The man told patrol on Friday that in early May, the unknown suspect purchased a "Roku" device, valued at approximately $140, according to a report filed by the Niagara County Sheriff's Office.

The transaction was flagged as suspicious by the bank, because it was mailed to an address in North Carolina. The complainant was contacted by the bank, and he confirmed that the charge was unauthorized. He was refunded his money, and his account number was changed. He was advised that the unknown suspect is most likely out of state.

The case is closed pending further information.
