ENP STAFF REPORTS
news@eastniagarapost.com
OLCOTT — An unknown person stole about half a dozen pipe guides last week from the upper lot of the Town of Newfane Marina, 5818 West Main St.
The pipe guides, valued at $250, were stolen between 9 p.m. May 27 and 6 a.m. May 28, according to a report filed with the Niagara County Sheriff's Office. They had recently been taken off of old boat docks and were to be used on new docks when they were sitting outside in the upper lot area where they were stolen from.
The director of the marina also advised patrol that he had recently received a few complaints of missing spare boat trailer tires from marina customers. No witnesses or video surveillance of the incident was available.
Patrol followed up on the complaint on Monday and checked Lock City Metals in Lockport, Niagara Metals in Gasport, and David Dunn Salvage in Middleport for the stolen pipe guides. Patrol was unable to locate the stolen property at any of the businesses. Management at all three locations advised patrol that they would contact NCSO if the items were located.
