TOWN OF LOCKPORT — An 18-year-old City of Lockport female and a 16-year-old Middleport female were both charged with petit larceny Friday evening after they were caught with candy and cosmetics in their backpack, according to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office.
Shianne E. Brancato, 106 O'Brien Drive and a 16-year-old residing on Watson Avenue, Middleport, were seen by Tops employees putting bulk candy into their backpack around 6:30 p.m., according to their arrest report.
The teens were confronted by a Tops employee as they were leaving the store and found to have also taken two sports drinks and several cosmetics, according to the report filed with NCSO.
Patrol took the females into custody for petit larceny and transported them to Niagara County Jail where they were each held on $500 bail. They are to appear in Town of Lockport Court on Tuesday.
