TOWN OF LOCKPORT — The Niagara County Sheriff's Office has announced that the deceased woman from Saturday afternoon's fatal accident on Lake Avenue was Helen M. Wright, 78, Ketchum Avenue, Newfane.
According to the original report, the Buick Wright was driving was north bound on Lake Avenue and suddenly left the east side of the roadway, striking a driveway culvert, mailbox, and finally a tree.
Wright was found deceased at the scene shortly before 1 p.m.
Further details concerning the nature of the crash were not released.
