Melissa Walker
WRIGHTS CORNERS — A Gasport woman was charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of a hypodermic instrument following a traffic stop Thursday on Lake Avenue.

According to the arrest report filed by the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, Melissa A. Walker, 25, 3963 Orangeport Road, Gasport, was found to be in possession of eight hypodermic syringes, along with two Klonopin tablets, an Opana tablet, and several other items commonly used for drug usage. One of the hypodermic syringes was filled with an opiate.

Patrol secured all of the evidence and transported Walker to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office for processing. The evidence was logged and secured into a property locke and the suspected narcotics were sent to the laboratory for confirmation.

Walker was held on $500 bail and scheduled for appearance in the Town of Lockport on June 5.
