ROYALTON — A South Vernon Street, Middleport, woman was charged with driving while intoxicated early Monday morning while on her way home from a Lockport bar, according to Niagara County Sheriff's deputies.

September Lynn Edwards, 55, 36 South Vernon St., was seen crossing the center line and fog line four times within a two-mile distance, according to NCSO. She then failed field sobriety tests and was charged with DWI and failure to keep right.

She was transported to ENH-Lockport where she submitted to a blood test. She was then remanded to Niagara County Jail in lieu of $250 police bail and is scheduled to appear in Royalton Town Court on this evening. A second DWI charge is pending the blood sample, according to the police report.
