ENP STAFF REPORTS
news@eastniagarapost.com
TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A white male in his late 30s used a fake $20 when buying items from Walmart, according to a report filed Thursday with the Niagara County Sheriff's Office.
The man had bought $94.50 worth of merchandise on Thursday, handing the cashier five $20 bills. It was only after he left that the cashier noticed that one of the bills didn't look or feel right.
He is described as approximately 5-feet 6-inches tall and 180 pounds with brown hair and facial hair, wearing an "Evergreen Lawn Service" shirt. Store security was able to replay the video, but unable to get a picture of the male's face.
Patrol took possession of the counterfeit $20 bill and secured it at NCSO in an evidence locker. The investigation will be continued by the Criminal Investigations Bureau.
