news@eastniagarapost.com
An 18-year-old Strauss Road man was charged by Lockport Police Saturday with stealing another man's shoes in order to settle a score, according to an arrest report filed by LPD.
Akeem R. Ross, 6089 Strauss Road, Apt. B, was charged around 2:30 p.m. Saturday with third-degree robbery and petit larceny for an incident police say happened on May 23.
According to Ross' arrest report, he approached another man, upset that the other man had had his cousin arrested for stealing his iPhone. The complainant told patrol that Ross approached him in an aggressive manner to which the complainant told Ross he didn't want any problems. Ross replied, "Yeah? Well then give me your shoes," then grabbed the complainant's leg and forcibly removed his shoes before fleeing.
Ross was found Saturday on an unrelated matter and charged with theft.
