TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A 20-year-old Lake Avenue man was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana after a Saturday morning traffic stop by Niagara County Sheriff's deputies.
Greg H. Laubacker, 4308 Lake Ave., was seen by NCSO in a parking lot near the intersection of North Canal and Cold Springs roads around 1:48 a.m. and approached by patrol, who say smoke and an odor of marijuana was coming from his vehicle. When interviewed by patrol, Laubacker admitted to having marijuana. He reached into the pocket of his sweatshirt and handed patrol a small amount of green leafy substance which he identified as being marijuana.
He was issued an appearance ticket for the Town of Lockport Court for June 26 and sent on his way. The suspected marijuana was secured in an evidence locker.
