OLCOTT — A West Main Street woman told Niagara County Sheriff's deputies that someone stole three pieces of jewelry from her room.

The woman told deputies on Wednesday that two 14k gold rings and a 14k red and black ladybug pendant were taken from her jewelry box when someone apparently broke into her home and rifled through her belongings.

A man at the same address had called NCSO to report that the home had been broken into between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. when an unknown person apparently forced entry into the home through the north side door, leaving small pry marks on the door frame. The unknown person appeared to have gone through most of the rooms and drawers in the home, but as best anyone could tell, only the woman's jewelry was missing.

This morning the original complainant told patrol that he had found all of the missing jewelry in his flower beds next to the fence when he was pulling weeds. He said there were additional items found that he was unaware were taken, but believed all items in the home were now recovered.

He was advised to contact patrol with any additional information. Case will be forwarded to Criminal Investigations Bureau for review.
