The City of Lockport Dept. of Youth & Recreation has released its schedule for the summer, including hours for park programs, the pool, summer field trips and more.
City parks that will be open and staffed for the year include Altro Park, Dolan Park and Outwater Park. They will be staffed 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. from Monday until Aug. 22. Free lunch programs will be offered at all three parks.
Monday stories in the park will be held weekly courtesy of the Lockport Public Library. Themed Fridays will also be held in each park.
The Community Pool will open for the year on Monday, as well, offering swim lessons at the pool. Once again, season passes will be available for purchase.
Field trips to the Buffalo Zoo, a Buffalo Bisons game and others will be held with details to be announced later.
Other summer events include the annual Independence Day Parade to be held July 3, basketball olympics, football combine, a talent show and more.
