TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A Buffalo woman was charged with DWI early this morning after Niagara County Sheriff's deputies say they saw her weave after getting a complaint of a reckless driver in a car matching the description of the one she was driving.
When 34-year-old Bridget Ann Skinner, 201 Mariemont Ave., Buffalo, was stopped by patrol around 3 a.m., she said she had had one beer earlier in the evening and had come back to Lockport from Buffalo to pick up a friend.
After failing field sobriety tests, Skinner was charged with driving while intoxicated and remanded to the custody of Niagara County Jail with $250 police bail set. She is scheduled to appear in Town of Lockport Court on Thursday.
Her vehicle was secured with a mandatory 12-hour hold and her passenger was transported to a local restaurant to await a ride home.
