ENP STAFF REPORTS
news@eastniagarapost.com
WRIGHTS CORNERS — A $14,000 utility vehicle was stolen from Niagara Frontier Equipment Sales Inc. between Sunday afternoon and Monday evening, according to a report filed with the Niagara County Sheriff's Office.
The 2013 Kioti Mechron 2200, was described as a green utility vehicle (UTV) with a diesel engine. It was taken sometime between 3 p.m. Sunday and 6 p.m. Monday, while the business was closed for the holiday weekend.
A wooden parking barrier had been displaced from it's proper location. The parking barrier appeared to have been purposely moved and pushed down a small hill on the side of the parking lot, allowing for the utility vehicle to be moved.
One gray size 9 1/2 Nike Air sneaker was found by patrol in the area that the vehicle had been taken from. Patrol collected the sneaker for evidence purposes and turned the sneaker into NCSO property for a laboratory testing. The stolen UTV's serial number was entered into the E-Justice system.
Over the same time period, a dozen golf carts were damaged at Oak Run Golf Course, about a mile south on Lake Avenue.
