Lockport Police and Niagara County Sheriff's deputies are investigating an incident on Washburn Street near Lewis Street in the city.
Police had responded to a call of "shots fired," but neighbors say they heard only one shot fired around 10:50 p.m. Paramedics also responded to the scene and one person was said to have been injured.

Hey mayor... lets focus on beefing up our police force and " Clean-up" Lockport so we can raise our kids in a beautiful SAFE town like it was when I was a kid.
ReplyDeleteI agree this town is being run down by people who have no regard for themselves or others its getting rediculous
DeleteI also agree
DeleteThat's right around the corner from my mothers house. I grew up in that neighborhood. It's a shame that the streets have come to this. We are the next Buffalo and Niagara Falls. I don't even want to live in this city anymore.
ReplyDeleteThe reporter got all the facts wrong in this story. It turned out to be fireworks set off. The ambulance was for another, and medical, emergency, nothing to do with the "shots fired" and ironically arrived at the same time as the policemen.
ReplyDeleteThe man who the ambulance was for wasn't shot he had other medical issues and had been released too early from the hospital. Some idiot at the news made up a story. Needless to say his family is very upset. Their house and business was on the TV for NO reason. Reporter should be FIRED!
ReplyDeleteBelieve none of what you read, part of what you hear & half of what you see. This incident is the perfect example of this saying. People yelling, complaining etc & the facts were all wrong.
ReplyDeleteThis reporter needs to go back to school & learn what it means to get the facts correct & if you don't know something as a fact write or say nothing.
I have lived in lockport about 20 years and it has gone downhill alot since..they really do need to get it cleaned up and keep it that way.
