OLCOTT — There were no injuries as the result of a car fire in Olcott on Sunday, according to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office.
A report of the incident filed today states that patrol responded to Lockport Street in Olcott at around 3:37 p.m. Sunday for a report of a vehicle fire. Upon arrival, patrol located the vehicle, which had smoke emanating from underneath the hood of the vehicle. The vehicle is registered to a Hartland Road, Gasport man, but was being operated by the man's son, according to the report.
Patrol was able to locate the driver and advised him of the fire. Olcott Fire Company determined that the fire/smoke was cause from the electric wiring from the stereo system.
