Niagara County Sheriff's deputies responded to larceny complaints from two homeowners in the 5500 block of Stone Road in the Town of Lockport Tuesday afternoon.
According to a report filed by NCSO, a Stihl chainsaw was stolen from one home between noon Monday and 5 p.m. Tuesday. The homeowner told patrol that the chainsaw was in a detached barn, which was not locked.
A second report said a truck tailgate was stolen from another home between 10 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday. The homeowner said that he contacted the local scrap yards and gave them a description of the tailgate. He said that the inside of the tailgate has a spray-on bed liner finish on it that is black in color with a blue tint to it. On the out side bottom edge on the left end their is a large chip in the paint.
