The Transit Drive-In Theater will become Tromaville on Wednesday as the drive-in hosts a special screening of Return To Nuke 'Em High.
The movie was filmed in Niagara Falls in 2012, largely at the Niagara Arts and Culture Center, formerly Niagara Falls High School. Scores of Western New Yorkers — including many from Niagara County — served as extras in the film.
The drive-in received permission from the film's creator, Lloyd Kaufman, to show the movie. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the NACC.
The movie is unrated. Minors under 17 will not be admitted unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.
"We're going to advise everyone that it's equivalent to an 'R,' " said drive-in owner Rick Cohen.
The 8:30 p.m. single feature costs $7 at the gate.
