A Lockport woman accused of receiving $9006 in unemployment benefits she wasn't entitled to was arrested Sunday by New York State Police.

According to the report NYSP filed, Judy A. McNew, 37, made false statements to the Department of Labor that she was unemployed, when in fact she was gainfully employed by a restaurant in Texas.

McNew was charged with one count each of third-degree grand larceny, first-degree offering to file false instrument, and first-degree falsifing business records.

McNew is scheduled for City of Lockport Court on Monday.
