People get excited about their ice cream.

Lake Effect Artisan Ice Cream served to lines of customers on Monday, their first day of operation in their 2014 season.

Customers were treated to the newly refurbished scoop shop with new amenities and new treats.

The shop is open until 9 tonight and closed tomorrow. It will be open from 4-9 p.m. Monday through Friday next week and from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. next Saturday and Sunday.

Happy customers eat away at their ice cream treats at Lake Effect on Friday.
