PHOTOS BY HEATHER N. GRIMMER/CONTRIBUTOR - Kids in the 8-10 age group rush through Outwater Park on Saturday looking for plastic Easter eggs hoping one of them earns them one of the many huge prizes offered. The annual Easter Egg Hunt drew hundreds of kids from the city and town of Lockport.

The annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday drew hundreds of kids from the city and town of Lockport. Kids from ages 2 to 10 rushed through Outwater Park in search of Easter eggs and in hopes of winning one of several grand prizes at this year's event. Several grand prizes were available for each of the age groups, including new bikes, Sky Zone passes, season passes to the Buffalo Zoo and Darien Lake, and even a 2-foot chocolate bunny.

This year's annual event was co-sponsored by Lockport Youth & Recreational Department and The McClain Foundation, with Lockport High School Cheerleaders in attendance hosting a Chinese auction.

Bypassing a trip to Sky Zone, a season pass to the Buffalo Zoo and even a new bike, James Berry, first-prize winner in the 2- to 4-year-old category, chose a basket with a giant chocolate bunny in it.

In addition to the egg hunt, the Lockport High School Cheerleaders hosted a Chinese auction with more than 30 baskets filled with goodies to help fund their trip to the "Indy 500."
