A Tonawanda man told Niagara County Sheriff's deputies that someone broke into his camper on Johnson Creek Road in Barker over the winter, stealing several items and damaging others.
The report, filed Sunday, stated that an unknown person pried the only door to the trailer open enough to reach in and unlock it. That person then stole a 20-pound propane tank, a CD player, a coffee maker, a blender, miscellaneous board games, a poker set, and silverware. The stolen items had a combined value of $560. The damaged door was valued at $100 some power cords were also damaged, valued at $100, as well. In total, the loss was listed as $760.
Other trailers in the camp ground were also burglarized and reported to NCSO on different dates. One man reported that a burglary was unable to gain access to a camper due to the camper's deadbolt.
