An Ellicott Road man told Niagara County Sheriff's deputies on Sunday that sometime overnight Saturday, someone stole two hunting guns and his wallet from his locked vehicle.
The guns, a Remington 12-gauge with a scope and a Ruger 22 rifle with a scope, had a combined value of $2,700. His wallet contained his drivers license and pistol permit. Also taken was a hunting light valued at $375.
The complainant was unable to provide any serial numbers for the guns at the time of report but told patrol he'd look for them and contact patrol if he found them. He was advised to contact the Niagara County Pistol Permit Office in regards to the incident.
It is unknown who removed the items or what time it occurred. Patrol completed and supplied the man with a MV78b in regards to his NYS Drivers License being removed from the vehicle, and NYSPIN message was completed in regards to the incident.
The total loss of property is valued at $3095.
