A delivery driver report that the Coors Light he was delivering over the weekend got a little lighter as eight 30-packs of the beer were stolen from his Napa motor truck trailer.
The man told Niagara County Sheriff's deputies that he was parked on Ridge Road in the Town of Newfane when the beer went missing sometime between Saturday and Monday. He told patrol that while inspecting the trailer before travel, he noticed that the metal ribbon strip used to secure the latch for the door of the trailer had been broken. Upon entering the trailer the complainant stated he noticed the plastic wrap on a pallet of beer had been torn and eight cases of the Coors Light beer were missing from the load.
The section of torn plastic wrap was secured by patrol and will be submitted for the examination of possible latent fingerprints. The complainant gave patrol the name of a potential suspect but that suspect has not yet been interviewed by police, according to the report on file.
No further information is available at this time. Investigation pending.
