An inmate at the Niagara County Jail is facing additional jail time after allegedly being found with contraband on Friday.

According to a report by the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, Elizabeth Shufelt, 33, was being transported into inmate processing by the Niagara Falls Police Department when an inspection of her property found five Klonipin pills, one large unknown pill, a burnt spoon, 10 baggies with white powder residue, a straw with white powder, and what jail officials believed to be a possible piece of crack cocaine in her purse. Patrol secured the property and submitted it to the Niagara County Forensics lab.

Shufelt was transported to the Town of Lockport Court where she was arraigned on the contraband charge and brought back to the Niagara County Jail where she was held in lieu of $500.00 cash bail. Shufelt is set to return to Town of Lockport Court on Thursday.

Additional charges pending results from lab.
