ENP -- The Kenan Center announced Friday that it will present an exhibit titled, “UnreLuctant: A Solo Exhibit of Paintings by Lin Xia Jiang,” from Jan. 12 through Feb. 16.
The exhibit will feature 40 figurative and landscape paintings, many of the Lockport area.

Jiang has been invited as guest juror, visiting artist lecturer and panelist by institutions and organizations such as the School of Art at Rochester Institute of Technology, Oregon State University, St. Lawrence University, Utah Museum of Fine Arts, Wuhan University in China, School of Fine Arts at the Capital Normal University in Beijing and The School of Fine Arts at Hainan University in China.
His painting and drawings have been published in art publications and books, including "New American Paintings," “Imaging the Word," “Drawing from Life," "LA Biennial International Invitational 2001," "Studio Visit 2010," "Figurama 2010," and "New Art International."
A frequent award recipient at juried shows, Jiang’s work has been exhibited locally at the Albright Knox Art Gallery, Burchfield Penny Art Center, and Carnegie Art Center.
A free public reception will be held for the exhibit Jan. 19 from 2-5 p.m. Gallery hours for the exhibit are Monday through Friday from noon to 5 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 2-5 p.m. The Gallery will be closed Jan. 20.
