The National Weather Service warns temperatures similar to those brought on by the Polar Vortex will return to East Niagara following an incredibly windy day Sunday.
"A strong storm system will track from Ontario to Quebec province on Sunday and produce strong winds across our region with gusts possibly reaching as high as 50 mph," the weather service says. "If realized, such winds could bring down a few tree limbs and produce isolated power outages."
After today's high of 25 and tomorrow's mild high of 31, Monday and Tuesday will offer highs of only 17 and 7. Wednesday's high of 11 will be equally unbearable. Low temperatures all three days are projected at or around zero degrees.
Snow is forecast every day through Wednesday.
