Just two weeks after it abruptly closed its doors, the Artz Gallery & Cafe announced Sunday that the downtown restaurant is for sale.
The Lock View Plaza coffee shop closed on Dec. 29 after the owner said the proprietors, including his daughter, left town with valuable equipment from the store, making it impossible to reopen, he told East Niagara Post.
On Thursday, owner Luke Hall posted a copy of the Lockport Police Department report he filed in relation to the theft on the business' Facebook page.
Then this morning, in a comment on a Facebook post announcing the sale, Hall said, "I would love to do this again, but I am bruised badly, I have lost family and many thousands of dollars. Maybe when I retire I will try it again, but for now I will only practice my own art."
