The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for nearly all of Western New York including the entirety of Niagara County from 4 p.m. today until 4 p.m. Wednesday.

The warning calls for heavy snow with accumulations up to 8 inches.

The report states that "heavy snow will result in very difficult Thanksgiving holiday travel with snow covered and slippery roads. The heavy wet nature of the snow may result in isolated power outages."
