Tuesday morning, Lockport Police Department conducted a round up of what eight local drug dealers they say are responsible for "much of the illegal drug trade" in Lockport.
Police say they were charged with "multiple felony drug charges" and expect to make even more arrests.
Announcing the arrests on their Facebook page, LPD says they got help from Niagara County Drug Task Force, the Buffalo office of the DEA, US Marshals Service, New York State Parole, and the Niagara Falls Police Department.
"Thanks to all our fellow law enforcement agencies for their assistance during this yearlong investigation," the announcement said.
