ENP STAFF REPORTS

TOWN OF LOCKPORT -- A Green Valley Lane man told Niagara County Sheriff's deputies that he received an empty package instead of the $500 gift card he had bought on eBay.
The man told patrol that he ordered the card on Oct. 22 and received the package on Nov. 2 -- but there was no gift card inside and the package was damaged.
The man stated he filed a claim through eBay, and the seller stated they sent the gift card. He said he does not know whether someone intentionally opened the package to take the gift card, the seller never included the gift card, or the damage caused the gift card to fall out.
The man said eBay required a police report to be filed. This investigation is closed pending new information.
