The Lockport Rampage lost its first game of the season tonight. Unfortunately for Lockport's semi-pro team, it was the championship.
After an undefeated regular season and convincing playoff wins, the team fell short to the now five-time champs, Troy's Fighting Irish.
The final score of totonight's game, played under the lights at Outwater Park, was 28-22 in favor of the away team.

The Lockport Rampage won convincingly over the Nickel City Kings Saturday night, besting the second best team in the Western Conference of the Northeastern Football Alliance, 40-14.
The win sends Lockport's semi-pro football team on to the NFA championship game on Saturday. Their competitor, the winner of the Eastern Conference championship, is the four-time defending NFA champs, the Troy Fighting Irish, who beat the Oneonta City Stallions 27-18 Saturday night.
The Rampage have had a perfect season, going 10-0 within the conference during the regular season, and 2-0 in the playoffs.
Tonight's victory over the Kings is the Rampage's second of the year. They beat Nickel City 6-0 on June 14.
