WRIGHTS CORNERS — A male and female shopping at Family Dollar on Lockport-Olcott Road stand accused by store personnel of stealing a $2.75 stick of Old Spice deodorant Saturday evening.
According to a report filed with the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, the pair were exiting the store after paying for some items around 6:45 p.m. when the alarm at the door alerted to a stolen item. The clerk said she instructed the suspects to stop to have their bags checked, however, they fled. The male threw something in the garbage can in front of the Subway and the pair then entered Tim Hortons.
The clerk retrieved a stick of Old Spice from the garbage can and waited for the suspects to exit Tim Hortons. The female exited Tim Hortons and walked to her vehicle which was parked in front of the Family Dollar store, then drove toward the Tim Hortons where she picked up the male, then driving westbound on Ridge Road.
The observant clerk got the license plate of the fleeing vehicle, which she gave to NCSO. Patrol attempted to make contact with the owner of the vehicle but was unsuccessful Saturday. The information was being forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Bureau.

The store is closed today and Sunday but is scheduled to reopen Monday in their new spot.
Another Lockport Plaza tenant is set to move in June. Mark's Pizza will move from their current spot to the former spot hosted by Another Man's Treasure, also in Lockport Plaza.
