Lock City's annual Easter traditions will be celebrated on April 4.

The fun starts at 10 a.m. at the Historic Palace Theater with a showing of the movie "Hop." Admission is $1 for the new go-to Easter movie for kids and adults alike. After the movie, kids are invited to stay at the Palace to visit with the Easter Bunny, who will be surrounded by live chicks and bunnies for kids to pet.

The annual Easter Egg Hunt at Outwater Park will take place at 1 p.m. The hunt is free for children in the City or Town of Lockport up to age 10. Children will collect three eggs and return them unopened for prizes, which organizers promise to be bigger and better than ever.

Also starting at 1 p.m., the annual Downtown Bunny Hop, where children will be encouraged to “hop along the bunny trail” from one participating downtown business to another for Easter treats. Maps will be available ahead of time in Lockport City Schools as well as the day of the event.

The events are presented by Lockport Main Street Inc. and sponsored by local businesses and private donations.
