Lockport Police Department has shut down streets on the city's East End following an early-morning shooting and is asking city residents in that area to stay in their homes while a manhunt is ongoing for the suspect.
Per City of Lockport police residents surrounding Eastern Niagara Hospital Lockport site including East Avenue Beverly Avenue East Union Street Grove Avenue Woodlawn Avenue Irving Street Livingston Place Schaffer Street Lakeview Parkway Granger Place Hildreth Street and Rogers Avenue shelter in place immediately If you see anything suspicious call nine one one immediately
The suspect is described as a man in his late teens or early 20s standing 6-foot tall with blond hair last seen wearing a light tan colored shirt, tan pants and a ski mask. He had two long rifles, which he reportedly used to rob the Eastern Niagara Hospital Emergency Room of drugs around 5 a.m.. He is said to have discarded those long guns in the ENH parking lot but may still be armed and is considered dangerous.

A border patrol helicopter has been called to assist in the manhunt.
