DeSales Catholic School recognized 76 middle school students this month for their scholastic achievement in the second trimester of the 2015-16 school year.

Students earning First Honors, with a first trimester average of 95 or higher were Grade 8: Colin Fragale, Jaydon Lang, Samuel Murphy, Katherine Widmer. Grade 7: Delaney Adams, Emma Fitch, Reagan Lilley, Grace McKissock, Kyra Meagley, Olivia Sheldon, Madeline Sipowicz and Henry Smith. Grade 6: Emma Flatau, Cole Meller, William Rahill, Miah Rohde and Meghan Samuelson.

Second Honors, given for academic averages between 90 and 94.9, were presented to the following students: 8th Grade: Matthew Bonnette, Madison Burruano, Ashleigh Cottrell, Bianca Franco, Madeline Goerss, Christopher Goyette, Allison Hanna, Nadia Henwood, Michaela Kurbs, Emily Kush, Owen Miller, Joseph Ogiba, Francesco Pellicano, Samantha Schaffert, Chloe St. Laurent and Nathan Wojcinski. 7th Grade:  Elizabeth Abbott, Kaitlyn Griffin, Vincent Harrer, Samuel Kerr, Sebastian Klay, Murphy McDermott, Ryan Mullane, Nathalie Ogiba and Benjamin Upshaw. Grade 6: Matalyn Bucolo, Emily Glena, Ashlie Heffernan, James Hoenow, William Lopes and Matthew Schaffert.

Merit Honors, for students with an academic average between 85 and 89.9, were presented to: Grade 8: Kiley Becken, Joseph Bohlman, Jason Buzak, Kevin Costello, Mark Crocker, Matthew Knuutila, Olivia Long, Robert Marotta, Racheal Miller,  Jared Pellicano and James Trometer. Grade 7:  Madison Abbott, Brielle Angelo, Athena Erickson, Aidan Masters, Ethan Parrish, Stephanie Porth, Carson Ransom, James Robinson and Austin Timkey. Grade 6:  Mathew Booth, Morgan Bulger, Katherine Hughes, Kayla Landsman, Cameron McIntyre, Jacob Miller, Andrew Mullane and Nya Muffoletto.
