Lockport city workers are working to repair a large water main break on East Avenue in front of the Union Sun & Journal.
East Avenue remains closed between Washburn and Cave Street while the water crew is on site, according to Mayor Anne McCaffrey's office.
The water has been turned off in the affected area while crews work to repair the leak. Some residents may experience low water pressure.
"Crews are working as quickly as they can to address the problem," the mayor's office said.
