ENP STAFF REPORTS
news@eastniagarapost.com
Cornell Cooperative Extension of Niagara County is looking for research participants to take part in Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Research.
Participants in CSAs pay for a "share" of a farm's crops and get fresh produce weekly throughout the growing season. Families will purchase a cost-offset or reduced price CSA and attend healthy eating classes to learn how to prepare the produce received. For the CSAs research they'll be asked to provide information on what they eat and they will be invited to participate in other data collection activities. If parents participate in all three years and complete all data collection activities they will be compensated $615
Parents of children between the ages of 2-12 years who live in a household where someone receives SNAP or WIC benefits, have a child enrolled in Head Start, or meet similar income guidelines, may be eligible to take part in this research project
Interested families should call 607-255-7342 for more information.
