NEWFANE -- A 25-year-old Lockport man was charged Monday with fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana after a traffic stop on Ewings Road.
According to New York State Police, Richard T. Elliott Jr. was stopped on Ewings Road for an expired inspection sticker. While Troopers were interviewing him, they detected the smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle, which led to them find approximately 38 grams of marihuana in a clear plastic bag.
Elliott was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Newfane Court on Feb. 16.
