Fifteen individuals were arrested in January by the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office on charges connected to welfare fraud within Niagara County, according to Niagara County Sheriff Jim Voutour.

The arrests were made in partnership with the Niagara County Department of Social Services and the Niagara County District Attorney’s Office. The following is a list of those arrested and their associated charges:

  • Marrianna Shucraft-Musilowski -- fourth-degree grand larceny, fourth-degree welfare fraud, first-degree offering a false instrument for filing 
  • Michelle Martinez -- second-degree offering a false instrument for filing
  • Michael Marsh -- petit larcenly, fifth-degree welfare fraud, second-degree offering a false instrument for filint
  • Patrick Hicks -- making a false written statement  
  • Vanh Phouapadith -- fourth-degree grand larceny, fourth-degree welfare fraud, first-degree offering a false instrument for filing
  • Caroline Allen -- misuse of food stamps
  • Amber Deline – fourth-degree grand larceny, fourth-degree welfare fraud, first-degree offering a false instrument for filing
  • Ashley Sewar - fourth-degree grand larceny, fourth-degree welfare fraud, first-degree offering a false instrument for filing
  • Deborah Crenshaw – second-degree offering a false instrument for filing
  • Venita Pellicano – fourth-degree grand larceny, fourth-degree welfare fraud, first-degree offering a false instrument for filing
  • Margot Boyd – second-degree offering a false instrument for filing
  • Heather Werksman – petit larceny, fifth-degree welfare fraud, second-degree offering a false instrument for filing
  • Julius Hall – Welfare Fraud 5th (misdemeanor), second-degree offering a false instrument for filing
  • Darin Ganshaw – fourth-degree grand larceny, fourth-degree welfare fraud, first-degree offering a false instrument for filing
  • Jamilah Sumaray – first-degree offering a false instrument for filing

The benefits allegedly received fraudulently by these individuals totals $35,341, according to Voutour.
