NOTES:
- With four successful penalty kills tonight, the Sabres have gone six straight games without allowing a power-play goal, killing 19 consecutive penalties during that span.
- The six-game stretch without allowing a power-play goal is the team's longest since they killed off all 14 penalties in a six-game span from Dec. 7 to Dec. 19, 2013.
- Buffalo's 19 straight penalties killed is the team's highest total since the Sabres killed 21 consecutive penalties from Feb. 24 to March 14, 2012.
- Robin Lehner made 42 saves in the loss, his highest single-game save total since he made 43 saves on March 15, 2014 at Montreal as a member of the Ottawa Senators.
