Firefighters from as far away as Long Island, all members of the Firemen's Association of the State of New York, thank Rev. Wayne F. Jagow -- Niagara County's former county clerk and FASNY's longtime chaplain -- for his decades of service to the people of his own county and the state of New York during a farewell celebration that chronicled Jagow's 47-year career in Niagara County government. Niagara County's former county clerk took a victory lap of sorts Sunday, as more than 150 backers from as far away as Long Island packed the Cornell Cooperative Extension's meeting facilities at the Niagara County Fairgrounds to applaud Jagow's two decades in office.

Pictures from the event were provided to ENP by Niagara County Public Information Officer Christian Peck.

Jagow delivers is joined by his daughter, Bethany, and wife, Maureen, during a celebration of his two decades as clerk held at the Cornell Cooperative Extension Sunday.
Jagow cracks up as Niagara County Sheriff James R. Voutour unveils a copy of Jagow's mid-1960s official photo, from his service as a sheriff's deputy.
Jagow reacts happily after receiving a gift from First Deputy County Clerk Wendy Roberson on behalf of Clerk's Office staff. The gift, a watercolor painting of a McCormick Farmall tractor -- the same tractors Jagow collects and restores -- was just one of several awards and honors bestowed on Jagow at a Sunday farewell celebration held at the Niagara County Fairgrounds.
