William J. Briggs of Medina, NY formerly of Appleton, NY husband of Patricia Seeloff Briggs went to be with his Lord and Savior Monday, December 14, 2015 at home.

He was born in Newfane, NY August 20, 1939. Bill served his country in the Marine Corps from 1957  - 1961. He married Patricia Seeloff  August 5, 1961. He worked for Plant Security at Harrison Radiator for 31 years retiring in 1994. He attended United Methodist Church of Abundant Harvest in Millville, NY. Member of the NRA, Medina Conservation Club, Exempt member of Hartland Fire Company and Miller Hose Fire Company. Most of all,  he loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Father of John (Leann) Briggs of Lockport, NY, Jodi (Mark) Zacher of Medina. Grandfather of Elizabeth Ann Zacher, Matthew Zacher, William Briggs. Brother of Jerry (Marilyn) Briggs of Colorado, Jim (Marie) Briggs of Florida, Connie (Jim) Fisher of Victor, NY and the late Jean Hensen.

Friends and family may call at RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME, INC. 2670 Main St. Newfane, NY (716) 778-7022 FRIDAY 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM and on SATURDAY friends may call at the United Methodist Church of Abundant Harvest - Millville 12373 Maple Ridge Road Medina, NY 14103 from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM where funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Hartland Central Cemetery. Memorials to  United Methodist Church of Abundant Harvest 12373 Maple Ridge Road Medina, NY 14103, Hospice of Orleans 14080 Rt. 31 Albion, NY 14411 or Richard Knights-Sue Kaderli Memorial Fund c/o Sue Knights 11079 Furness Parkway Medina, NY 14103 would be appreciated by the family.
