Kelly Rados
TOWN OF LOCKPORT -- A 39-year-old Pendleton woman was arrested early Christmas morning after allegedly attempting to flee from a Niagara County Sheriff's deputy.

According to NCSO, Kelly M. Rados, 4898 Beach Ridge Road, was seen pulling into a parking lot on Robinson Road around 11:25 p.m. Thursday. When patrol ran her plate, they found that she had an active bench warrant out of Niagara Falls. However, patrol lost sight of her as it was turning around when Rados was questioned walking across the parking lot, she gave patrol a false name and was not arrested.

Just over an hour later, patrol again saw Rados' vehicle, this time driving eastbound on Chestnut Ridge Road, where she was stopped for having a loud muffler and obstructed view. Patrol advised her that she had a warrant out of the City of Niagara Falls and said she could park her car in the lot just west of the stop location to avoid having it towed. As she moved her vehicle, she passed the parking area and continued south on Davison Road and east on Windermere Road at which time emergency lights and siren were activated. Rados again pulled over, but as patrol approached the vehicle, she fled at a high rate of speed, continuing eastbound, before making a u-turn and traveling westbound at 60 mph.

The report states that Rados continued on Grasmere Road in the oncoming lane, eastbound to Ambleside Drive and north on Rydalmound Road. failing to stop at the stop sign. She then crossed Chestnut Ridge Road into Cold Spring Cemetery. After a brief pursuit continued, she exited her vehicle and fled on foot until she was taken to the ground and handcuffed by patrol.

She was taken to Niagara County Jail and held on $250 bail with a Town of Lockport Court date set for Jan. 7.
